Jimmy Allen

Jimmy Allen is the President of Venture Express, Inc.; Creative Transportation; Allen's Cartage Company, Lavergne, TN; and co-owner of Center Hill Marina & Yacht Club. He attended Austin Peay State University, Clarksville, TN and the University of Tennessee, Nashville. Jimmy formerly served as a member of the board of directors of Rutherford Bank & Trust, Murfreesboro and Independent Bank, Gallatin, TN. He served as past chairman of Tennessee Trucking Association and Nashville Motor Freight. His past accomplishments include being selected as Nashville Business Journal's Executive of the Year. Jimmy is a supporter of Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and Ronald McDonald House.

Don Alexander

Don Alexander is President of Alexander Ford Lincoln/Mercury and Alexander Chevrolet-Oldsmobile-Cadillac in Murfreesboro, TN. Roseann Barton

Roseann Barton is Principal of Reeves Rogers Elementary School in the Murfreesboro City Schools System. Prior to becoming principal she taught in the classroom for fifteen years at Reeves Rogers. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education; Master of Education in Administration/Supervision; and Education Specialist in Administration/Supervision from Middle Tennessee State University. Roseann has received awards for her outstanding teaching and administrative duties including: District Winner for Murfreesboro Education Association Distinguished Administrator in 2003; District Winner and state finalist 2000, Tennessee Teacher of the Year; member of Who's Who in American Teachers; a Career Ladder Three Teacher since 1993. Her professional memberships include: Association of Elementary Principals; Principals' Study Council; Delta Kappa Gamma; past member of International Reading Association and Kappa Delta Pi.

Barton's civic and volunteer activities include: active member of Murfreesboro Charity Circle and Oakland High School Booster Club; past member of Middle Tennessee Medical Center Ambassadors; Murfreesboro Junior League; Blue Raider Athletic Association; Rutherford County American Heart Walk System Coordinator; The United Way Allocations Committee; and The Discovery Center. She is a graduate of Leadership Rutherford.

Dallas G. Caudle, Jr.

Dallas Caudle is Executive Vice President and Board Secretary at MidSouth Bank. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Middle Tennessee State University and continued his education through the American Institution of Banking, Tennessee School of Banking at Vanderbilt University, and the National Clearing House Association's The Payment Institute at the University of Colorado.

Caudle began his banking career in 1971 at Murfreesboro Bank & Trust (now SunTrust Bank). He began his career as a Management Trainee. He held positions as Branch Manager, Data processing Manager, Bank Operations Manager, Marketing and Product Development; Corporate Services Manager, and Commercial Lending Officer.

Caudle has been active in professional, civic, and volunteer organizations. He has served as former president of the Tennessee Automated Clearing House Association, board member of the National Automated Clearing House Association and a NACHA Education and Training committee member. He has been a member of the Murfreesboro Historic Zoning Commission since 1986 and served as past chairman; a 1991 graduate of Leadership Rutherford and board member; Vice Chairman and board member of Main Street Revitalization; Assistant Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 416 for 14 years; Eta Gamma Chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity, former House Corporation President; and City of Murfreesboro Comprehensive Land Use committee member.

Caudle is a Distinguished Sales & Marketing Award recipient from Sales & Marketing Executives of Nashville and a recipient of the Long Rifle Award by the Trail of Tears District Middle Tennessee Council Boy Scouts of America.

Gerald Coggin

Dan Decker

Dan Decker is the owner of Decker Construction and Decker Displays as well as a partner of Decker & Belt Company in Murfreesboro.  Dan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at Bryan College, Dayton, Tennessee.  In the last 25 years these companies have been involved in the middle Tennessee area in developing and building single family homes, condominiums, apartments and light commercial buildings.  Dan serves as an elder at College Heights Chapel.  In 1986 he was involved with the formation of the Pregnancy Support Center.  Currently he is Board Chairman of Horton Haven Christian Camp and serves as a board member of Cedar Hall School.

Percy E. Dempsey III, CPA

John Floyd

Donald R. Gintzig

Donald Gintzig is Chief Executive Officer and President of The Middle Tennessee Medical Center (MTMC), Murfreesboro and Saint Thomas Health Services, Nashville.  Donald received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance at George Washington University, Washington, D. Frank Johns, Jr.

Frank Johns is the owner of Frank Johns Realty in Smyrna, TN.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Management from the University of Tennessee. Lee. M. Moss

Lee was born in Nashville, Tennessee, June 23, 1951, graduating from Hillwood High School in 1969. He lettered in all sports and served as President of the senior class. In 1973, Lee graduated from the University of Tennessee with a BS, majoring in Banking. He served as Treasurer of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, served on the Vol Corps, and on the Undergraduate Alumni Council.

In July 1973, Lee joined Valley Fidelity Bank in Knoxville in their management training program. In March, 1974, Lee joined SunTrust Bank in Nashville (formerly Third National Bank) serving in the follow capacities: Branch Manager, Regional Administrator, Commercial Market Manager, Middle Market Manager, and Manager of Commercial Finance. In January 1995, Lee moved to Murfreesboro where he served as Regional President, overseeing Rutherford and Wilson Counties. He graduated from the National Commercial Lending School in 1978 and the Graduate School of Banking of the South in 1983. In January 2003, Lee left SunTrust Bank and joined Jack Weatherford, Sr. and Ben Weatherford to form MidSouth Bank, headquartered in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Lee has been very active in each of the communities he has lived. In Nashville, he served as President of The University of Tennessee (Davidson County) Alumni Chapter, President of the Downtown Optimist Club, Secretary of the American Cancer Society, and as an Elder of Woodmont Christian Church. He also officiated TSSAA high school basketball for 26 years. While in Murfreesboro, Lee serves as Chairman of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, Board member and Vice Campaign Chair of the United Way, Board member of the Middle Tennessee Medical Center, executive committee member of the Board for the College of Business Administration at MTSU, Treasurer of the Discovery Center, and as a Sunday School teacher and Administrative Board member for First United Methodist Church. He served as National President of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, President of the American Heart Association, and Trustee of the MTSU Foundation.

Lee's father was Chairman of Third National Corporation in Nashville and grandfather was President and Chairman of First National Bank in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Lee married Susan Ostroski Moss in 1973. They have 4 children: Katherine (20), Chase (17), Laura (16) and Robert (13).

Matt B. Murfree III

Matt Murfree is a senior partner of the Murfree, Cope, Hudson & Scarlett law firm in Murfreesboro, TN.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree and his J. D. from Vanderbilt University.  He presently serves on the Board of The Christy-Houston Foundation, Inc. and was formerly chairman of its Board.  He is on the Board of Directors of Middle Tennessee Medical Center; member of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce Chairman's Council and serves on the Audit Committee of St. Thomas Health Services.  He was selected as the 2003 Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce Business Legend.  His past community involvements include acting County Executive for Rutherford County; president of Rutherford County Bar Association; president of Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce; past community board member of SunTrust Bank.

Beth O'Brien

Beth O'Brien is Managing Broker with the firm of Coldwell Banker Snow and Wall.  She has been affiliated with Snow and Wall since 1985 when she joined them as an Affiliate Broker.  Prior to that, she was an LPN in the Emergency Room at Metro Nashville General Hospital, Rutherford Hospital (now MTMC), and Smyrna Hospital.  Beth attended Middle Tennessee State University and Tennessee Real Estate Education Systems.  She is currently in her second term as a  Murfreesboro City Council Member; past president of MTSU Blue Raider Athletic Association; a Regent of Colonel Hardy Murfree Chapter, DAR; and Rutherford County Association of Realtors Director.

George Smith, MD

Dr. George Smith has been a partner in Family Health Associates in Murfreesboro since 1979. He served as Assistant Commissioner of Tennessee Department of Health from 1987-1992. Greg Waldron

J. Ben Weatherford

Ben Weatherford was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on July 28, 1957 and graduated from Riverdale High School in 1975. He then attended Middle Tennessee State University for two years, and later transferred to Mississippi State University, where he received a B.S. degree with a major in Banking and Finance. In June 1989, he graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, held at the University of Delaware.

Ben's career began with Park National Bank (later acquired by First American Bank / AmSouth Bank), Knoxville, Tennessee in August 1979 as a management trainee. In 1984, he joined SunTrust Bank (formerly Third National Bank and Mid-South Bank) in Winchester, Tennessee, and served as Regional President. He then transferred within his company to Murfreesboro in 1988. In December 1989, he became president of First National Bank in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, which was owned by SunTrust Bank, and has subsequently become of branch of SunTrust. Ben then transferred within the SunTrust system to become Senior Vice President, Private Banking in Chattanooga. In April 2001, Ben left the ranks of a regional bank to become President and C.E.O. of Rutherford Bank and Trust, Murfreesboro. In January 2003, Ben joined Lee Moss and Jack Weatherford, Sr. to organize Mid-South Bank, headquartered in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Ben has been involved in many civic activities throughout his banking career. Since returning to Rutherford County, he has joined the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association of Rutherford County, Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Club Board of Directors, and was recently appointed to the Executive Council of the Middle Tennessee District of the Boy Scouts of America. While in Lawrenceburg, he served as President of the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, Board of Directors and Past President of the Twenty-First Century Council (industrial recruiting and economic development), and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Columbia Crockett Hospital. While in Winchester, he served as the President of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, and President of the Winchester Main Street Development Association. He was also a Rotarian in Winchester and Lawrenceburg.

Ben has been married to Margie Cagle Weatherford for over 18 years and has two children, Ben and Mary Margaret. Ben was influenced to enter the banking business as a result of family experiences, since his father, Jack Weatherford, Sr. had a 40-year career with Murfreesboro Bank and Trust, where he retired in 1989 as Chairman and C.E.O. Additionally, his maternal great-grandfather, Benjamin Franklin (B.F.) Moore was the organizer of Murfreesboro Bank and Trust Company (currently SunTrust Bank, Murfreesboro) in 1905.

Jack O. Weatherford

Jack Weatherford was born in Columbia, Tennessee. He served three years in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Afterwards, he attended Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee where he graduated in 1949 with a B.S. degree in Business.

Almost immediately, Jack accepted a job with Murfreesboro Bank and Trust Company where he served for 40 years and retired as Chairman and C.E.O. During his banking career, he received a graduate certificate from the American Institute of Banking, and later, graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University in New Jersey. When Jack became Chairman of Murfreesboro Bank in 1970, assets were $40 million, and by his retirement, assets had grown to near $500 million.

During his tenure in banking, Jack was President of the Tennessee Bankers Association, Chairman of the nationıs Community Bankers and Vice-Chairman of the American Bankers Association. Near the end of his career, Jack was on the Board of Directors of Third National Corporation and was Vice-Chairman of Third National Bank in Nashville (now SunTrust Bank). In January 2003, Jack together with Lee Moss and Ben Weatherford began the formation of Mid-South Bank, headquartered in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Throughout his banking career, he served in leadership positions on many community boards including President of Rutherford Hospital, of the M.T.S.U. Foundation, of the Murfreesboro Noon Rotary Club, and Chairman of Main Street-Murfreesboro and of the Murfreesboro Housing Authority. He was selected as the first Business Person of the Year, and later received the Business Legend award by the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce. Jack currently is the Chairman of the Smyrna / Rutherford County Airport Authority. He is an Elder in his church, College Heights Chapel in Murfreesboro.

He is married to the former Mary Earthman of Murfreesboro. The Weatherfords have four children and nine grandchildren.
