MidSouth Bank Names Two New Officers

MURFREESBORO, TN – MidSouth Bank announced that it has promoted Tim Beal and Mary Sewell to new positions within the bank.

Beal is now an assistant vice president in the bank’s mortgage group.  Since joining MidSouth Bank as a mortgage loan originator in 2009, he has been a top performer.  Beal will continue to originate mortgage loans in his new role.

His promotion comes at a time when MidSouth Bank is experiencing growth in its mortgage department. The bank’s recent addition of in-house underwriting allows for quicker processing of mortgage applications and mortgage loan approvals since the documentation never leaves the bank.

Sewell has been promoted to loan operations officer. Since joining MidSouth Bank in 2006, she has worked in several capacities in the bank’s loan operations area. Sewell currently serves as the senior operations specialist preparing the most complex loan documents and providing guidance to other loan documentation specialists. She has 18 years of banking experience in Murfreesboro.

“We are very fortunate to have Tim and Mary on our team,” said Lee Moss, the bank’s chairman and CEO.  “These promotions are well-deserved and in recognition of their integrity, character, experience and contributions to the MidSouth Bank family. We know Tim and Mary will continue to play important roles in our future growth.”

MidSouth Bank began serving Rutherford County in 2004 and has five offices in Murfreesboro and Smyrna. The full-service bank is the only locally-owned and operated bank in Rutherford County.  For more information, visit www.midsouthbanking.com.
