James is Assistant Vice President of Commercial Lending with MidSouth Bank. James attended Bowie State University where he received a B.S. in Banking and Finance and Clark Atlanta University where he received an M.B.A. in Finance.

James began his banking career in Pittsburgh, PA with PNC Financial Services Group. Upon leaving PNC, James was a partner in a consulting firm which advised small companies, non-profits and high net worth investors on strategic and financial matters. Prior to joining MidSouth, James was a Credit Underwriter in JPMorgan Chase’s Middle Market Banking Group in Baton Rouge, LA.

James has been involved in many civic activities during his career, serving on many non-profit boards and committees in both Pittsburgh and Baton Rouge.

James and his wife Shawn relocated to Murfreesboro in 2008.
