KEVIN BUSBEY JOINS MIDSOUTH BANK Murfreesboro, TN – Lee Moss, Chairman and CEO of MidSouth Bank has announced that Kevin Busbey has joined the Bank as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Busbey received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting with minors in management and mathematics from David Lipscomb University in Nashville in 1985. His continued education included training through Tennessee Bankers Association, Tennessee Society of CPA’s and Tennessee ACH Association. Busbey has over 20 years of professional experience in financial, strategic and operational roles. He began his banking career in 1986 as an Internal Auditor and moved to community banking in 1991 as the former First City Bank’s Auditor and Compliance Officer and was later promoted to Controller. Prior to joining MidSouth Bank, he was Chief Financial Officer at a bank which was going through a merger. Kevin and his wife, Lori, married since 1990, have two children, Caroline, 16, Jackson, 12, and a foster son, Ramonta, age 4 ½, who has been with them for 3 ½ years. The Busbey’s are members of the West Nashville Heights Church of Christ and for the past year, Kevin has served as vice president on the board of a start-up non-profit organization called New Heights Christian Community Services. The ministry focuses on helping children in an economically challenged area by providing school supplies, clothes, after-school homework assistance and other activities and services. “We are so fortunate to have Kevin join us as Chief Financial Officer, Cashier, and Treasurer,” stated Lee Moss, Chairman & CEO. “He brings to the bank many years of financial experience and expertise,” he continued. “He is a welcome, valuable addition to MidSouth Bank’s team and will guide us both financially & strategically,” he concluded.
