    Ronnie Martin joins MIDSOUTH BANK (In Organization) team

           Lee Moss, chairman and chief executive officer, and Ben Weatherford, president, of MidSouth Bank (in organization) have announced that Ronnie H. Martin has joined the bank as assistant vice president and Murfreesboro main office Leader.

           Martin, a graduate of Riverdale High School, received a bachelor of business administration degree with a major in economics in 1997, and a master of business administration degree with emphasis in management in 2000.

           Martin began his banking career at SunTrust Bank as a teller in 1994 while still in college. He held numerous positions with the bank until 1999, when he joined First Tennessee Bank in Murfreesboro. His most recent position prior to joining MidSouth Bank was financial center manager with First Tennessee.

           In addition to his career in banking, Martin finds time to serve his community through many civic and community organizations. He serves as treasurer of the Murfreesboro Noon Rotary Club and on the Board of Directors of the club. Martin is a graduate of the 2001-2002 Murfreesboro Citizens Police Academy, and is a coach for the under 6-year-olds in the Murfreesboro Soccer Club. He was a national winner of the 1992 Chicago Board of Trade Commodity Challenge. Martin is a first-year student of the Tennessee Bankers Association's Southwestern School of Banking. He currently holds a Series 6 & 63 variable contracts license and a life insurance license. He was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order at MTSU and served as vice president and Council of Honor Commander.

           Martin, his wife Amy and daughters Holland and Kennedy attend Kingwood Heights Church of Christ in Murfreesboro.

           "We are excited to have someone of Ronnie's exceptional talents and experience join our bank," said Weatherford. "He will bring innovative ideas and extraordinary leadership to our organization as the office leader of the main office in Murfreesboro," he concluded.

           MidSouth Bank (in organization) has exceeded its initial goal of $15 million in stock subscriptions by more than 100 percent.
