O’Brien is currently the Managing Broker with Coldwell Banker Snow and Wall, the number one Coldwell Banker office in the state of Tennessee. Prior to her current position, she was an Affiliate Broker with Snow and Wall Realtors. Her other professional endeavors include LPN Emergency Room at Metro Nashville General Hospital, as well as Rutherford Hospital (now Middle Tennessee Medical Center), and Ward Clerk at Smyrna Hospital.

       O’Brien attended Middle Tennessee State University and Tennessee Real Estate Education Systems. She was a graduate of Oakland High School and Homer Pittard Campus School.

       O’Brien served as past Director of the Rutherford County Association of Realtors. In addition to her busy professional career, O’Brien is involved in many community and civic organizations. She is currently serving a second term as a member of the Murfreesboro City Council. She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors Bureau Committee; member of St. Clair Senior Citizen’s Commission; the Murfreesboro Cable Commission; the Cultural Arts Commission; and the Storm Water Advisory Committee. Currently she serves in the role of chairman of a fundraiser committee for Adult Day Care at the St. Clair Senior Citizen’s Center. O’Brien served as past President of MTSU Blue Raider Athletic Association and was the inaugural Chairman of the BRAA Raider Round-Up which she continued to chair for many years. She was Regent of the Colonel Hardy Murfree Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

       O’Brien, husband, Jim, and daughter Alice are members of North Minister Presbyterian Church.
