MIDSOUTH BANK ANNOUNCES PROMOTION OF RICHARD STONE

       Murfreesboro TN – Lee Moss, Chairman and CEO and Ben Weatherford, President and COO announced that Richard Stone has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Commercial Lending. Stone assists with all the banking aspects of medium to large commercial businesses in the middle Tennessee area.

       Stone received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with emphasis in Marketing and a Master’s of Arts degree with an emphasis in Financial Economics from Middle Tennessee State University.

       Stone has had a long history in financial services, including banking, commercial insurance, investments, and finance. He came to MidSouth Bank from AmSouth Bank, (Regions Bank.)

       Stone is a strong proponent for, and is committed to, community involvement. He has served on several committees and on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee from 2001 to 2004 and is currently serving in an advisory role. He has also been a Big Brother for the past six years and was awarded Big Brother of the Year in 2002. Other community involvements include volunteering for the Murfreesboro JazzFest; Jack O. Weatherford Chair of Finance Gold Tournament; Men of Valor; and YMCA youth basketball. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for First Shot Basketball; Jesse C. Beesley Foundation; and Berkshire Homeowners Association.

       Stone is a member of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce and the Tennessee Bankers Association.

       Stone moved from Nashville to Murfreesboro in 1997. He and his wife, Tara, are proud parents of daughter, Jackson. They attend World Outreach Church.
