Taylor received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Middle Tennessee State University. Her emphasis was in marketing with minors in business and commercial art. Taylor began her banking career in 1981 at Murfreesboro Bank & Trust (now SunTrust) as a Teller and Financial Sales Consultant. Her career background includes responsibility for retail training, marketing support, and relationship management in a key branch and personal banking rolls. In her last role she served as a Business Banking Relationship Manager. Taylor is a past recipient of the Distinguished Sales & Marketing Award sponsored by Sales & Marketing Executives of Nashville.

       Taylor’s community involvement includes being a long time supporter of United Way including the Robertson Association and past Allocation Panel member, member Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, American Heart Association local board member, and Treasurer for Friends of Fenton Payne & Fred, a non-profit organization that raises funds for local health & fitness related charities through an annual 5K Run. She is a 1999 graduate of Leadership Rutherford and past Advisory Board member, past board member and chair for the BBB Advisory Board, Central Tennessee Region, and was a former board member for Heaven Sent Children.

Lisa, her husband, Terry, and son, Corey, are members of the First United Methodist Church where she served as a past member of the Administrative Board and former Chair of the Finance Committee.
