Pam Waddey joins MidSouth Bank

       Lee Moss, chairman and CEO, and Ben Weatherford, president and chief operations 0fficer, of MidSouth Bank, have announced that Pam Waddey has joined the bank as assistant vice president, supporting Commercial Loan Operations.

       Waddey is a graduate of Madison High School in Madison. Following graduation, she began her banking career at Third National Bank in Nashville in 1969, where she worked in the Loan and Discount Department. She remained in various loan support positions at the bank for over 23 years.

       Waddey received the American Institute of Banking Foundations of Banking Diploma in 1983. She also received training in loan documentation through the former Third National Bank and Tennessee Bankers Association.

       During her 35 years in banking, she has occupied many different roles in the lending area. Earlier in her career, she executed all the functions necessary to complete the closing and establishing of loans. Later she created a loan documentation department at a community bank and was responsible for establishing guidelines for file review and file release, as well as guidelines for collateral files and ongoing training with department staff. Waddey's most recent position before joining MidSouth Bank was at FirstBank (formerly Bank of Murfreesboro).

       Waddey and her husband Larry live in College Grove. The are members of Inglewood Baptist Church.

       MidSouth Bank received state and federal regulators' official approval to establish a community bank with offices in Murfreesboro and Smyrna on Jan. 16. The new bank opened its doors for business Feb. 9.
